Hai Duong Climate
Halfway between Hanoi and Hai Phong in the Red River Delta, Hai Duong has a humid subtropical monsoon climate where summer and winter dominate the year. Summer (May–September) is hot and humid with frequent rain and occasional typhoons that push inland, while winter (November–February) is cold, dry and often overcast. The annual mean is about 23°C, with summer peaks of 35–37°C and cold snaps down to 10–12°C. May and June bring the celebrated Thanh Ha lychee harvest, coinciding with the muggy onset of summer.
