Nghe An Climate
Nghe An, the largest province in the North Central Coast, has a tropical monsoon climate marked by central Vietnam's harshness. Summers (May–August) around Vinh and the plains often hit 33–39°C under the strong southwesterly foehn (the Laos wind), making it one of the hottest places in the country; the storm and flood season concentrates in August–October, while winter (December–February) cools to 15–20°C, with sharp cold in the highlands of Ky Son and Que Phong.
