Yangon's Climate
Yangon, Myanmar's largest city near the Ayeyarwady delta, has a tropical monsoon climate with an exceptionally wet rainy season. The southwest monsoon from May to October dumps enormous rainfall, especially in July and August, alongside oppressive humidity and cyclone risk from the Bay of Bengal. The cool dry season from November to February is the most comfortable, while March and April mark the hot peak with temperatures often 35–38°C.
