Tashkent Climate
Set on the edge of Central Asia at the foot of the Tian Shan mountains, Tashkent has a semi-arid continental climate with a long, very hot and dry summer. From June to August daytime highs typically reach 33–38°C under glaring sun with almost no rain, while winters (December to February) are cold at 3–8°C by day, bringing snow and frost when cold air pushes in. Most precipitation falls in spring (March to May), the prettiest season when the city blossoms and the steppe turns green.
