Hyderabad's Climate
Perched on the Deccan plateau at around 500 m elevation, Hyderabad has a tropical semi-arid climate that is generally drier and milder than India's coastal cities. Summer from March to May is hot and dry with highs often between 35 and 40°C, after which the southwest monsoon brings showers and thunderstorms from June to September. Winters from November to February are dry and pleasant, with nights dipping to around 13–15°C thanks to the altitude.
