Geneva's Climate
Geneva sits at the southwestern tip of Lake Geneva, wedged between the Jura and the Alps, with a humid temperate climate carrying a mild semi-continental edge. Winters (December–February) are cold at around 0–5°C, with occasional snow and the notably bitter Bise wind funneling along the lake, while summers (June–August) are warm at 24–27°C and sunnier than cities in northern Switzerland. Rain falls throughout the year, but summer thunderstorms deliver the heaviest amounts.
