Ankara Climate
Set on the Anatolian plateau at around 900 m elevation, Ankara has a semi-arid continental climate with wide swings between seasons and between day and night. Summers (June to September) are hot, dry and brightly sunny at 28–32°C by day but cool quickly after dark, while winters (December to February) are bitterly cold with frequent snow and frost, daytime highs near 0–5°C and nights often below freezing. Rain and snow concentrate from late autumn to early spring, leaving summers nearly dry.
